I poured about 1/2 tank of 30 year old gas out in the alley behind my shop. It stunk for several weeks! Tiny is exactly right, I bent several push rods by running the old gas, valves were stuck tight, had to pull the head and have a valve job done, about $200.00 lesson. Then I bought a new gas tank and replaced all lines, now it runs fine.
