Get some old gas cans and mark them with big letters "GAS" leave them in the back of your truck and park it on the street. When you come back I am sure it will be gone!

The best way has already been stated, contact your hazzardous waste office in your county and ask them where and how to dispose of the gas. You may be limited on how much you can dispose of at one tiem, but they will have a solution for you.

I worked for a school district when one of my mechanics came to me and said a bus driver put in a half a tank of diesel fuel in a gasoline only tank, He was panicked and wanted an immediate solution. I had him fill up the old busses against the fence for auction with the fuel.
