Standard color was juniper green, a dark shade of green, although other colors were available. two tone colors were not available in 1953. 1 ton trucks came with 4 speeds only and had 5.14:1 rear axle ratio. Yours would be a 1 ton. The engine is probably a 235, you have to check the casting numbers that are in front of the dipstick tube, just above the oil pan.
