Brendan, Just took a look at ol #7 and it appears to have the original factory flatbed, getting pretty scarce. The give away is that the front of the flatbed has nice rounded corners, will be a rare truck and an attention getter will the stakesides. Also interesting treatment with the two front bumbers, the brand of a real work truck.
Oh, on that fitting, you really need to remove the whole thing whatever it takes and plug the hole with the proper plug. Sounds like you need the GIANT sized vice grips and a johnson bar.
