The truth is you'll have folks say that thing was the coolest thing they'd ever seen and not ruined at all.
It's just a matter of personal opinion.
I'm of the opinion that most of these old trucks were just about perfect when they rolled off the assembly line, at least in regards to styling and design.
I consider ANY year truck to be 'ruined' when irreversible modifications that make the truck unidentifiable are made.
Not sure how many people could look at that abomination and tell WHAT the heck it was, let alone pin it down to a specific year.
