Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
I looked around to see if I had any pics of the truck from the last time I was home, but I don't have anything digital. I'm still anxious to hear opinions on my use of the pontiac. But, it will be awhile til I get the thing down here, so that can wait. For right now I'm researching welders. Even called the local community college to see what they have to offer. I can stick weld in a pinch, but I've never touched a mig. I'll have to learn to rebuild a small block too. But, my wife is 100% behind me, and wants to stitch the interior.
Ok, now back to the search to soak up some more info!!
