Hello all,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I hope that this forum can provide information for the potential project I'll have.
I've had a 1949 3100 in my posession for about 15 years now. I bought it from my grandfather for 50 bucks, with the intention of fixing it up and driving it in high school. Unfortuneatly reality struck and I found that that just wasn't going to happen. Fast forward to now. I'm out of school, married, got a house (with a huge garage..LOL). That truck has been on my mind for many years...sell it or don't..back and forth. As I now live in Tennessee, about 18 hours from my parent's house back in Nebraska, I didn't think I would ever have the chance to try and fulfill my dreams. Well, last week I was talking with a dear friend of mine who offered to haul it down to me. So, come this summer, I may have my dream become a reality and be able to do this truck up right.
I am very glad that I found this board, and I have tons and tons of questions. But, I figured this was long enough for a first post, and I have yet to fully utilize the search. But I do plan on asking for info and opinions. Literally, I'm like chomping at the bit..LOL.
This is a great site, and from what I've read so far, a great online community. Kudos to all who help each other out. I look forward to posting more very soon!
