I have an issue with a battery in a - gulp - Fiat. The battery drools like orchidskip said. It might be that after charging it is still bubbling up but I dont think so. When I last replaced the battery I pondered putting in an Optima because of the "leak-proof" reputation,but thought that if I'm getting too much out of the alt or whatever the problem really is, it might just puff up or worse yet - pop!! Anyone out there have any thoughts on that. I will say that when I put a new battery in the '59 Apache 4WD, it will be a red top, and I'll hold it in with something other than cable ties!!
