The Navy quit using the lead acid batteries in our aviation support equipment ages ago due to the relaibility, power, and longevity of these batteries. Sure our old beasts can run just fine with a cheaper battery, really depends on the load you put on it too. If you have a lot of electrical accessories they can be a real life saver. If the electric needs you have are your headlights & the coil, not so much. I'm putting one in each of my vehicles when the current batteries croak.
Sure would be nice not to have to clean & worry about leaking out & adding more rust to my rust!

I dig all cars, old and new, whether they were hammered out of American iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things.
