I dunno what kind of battery you cats are talking about.. I just buy batteries from Advance Auto Parts.. and I never look at the 'book' to tell me which one I need.. I just grab the cheapest one they got that's the right general size to fit in the battery spot.. and they generally don't cost more than $50.
The 6 volt batteries, I pick up from the local farm store.. they're $39 a piece.. my father in law has had one sitting on the back of one of his tractors for 15 years.. nothing covering it, and it sits outside 365 days a year.
