Just so that you know, most of us treat our trucks like boats; the "right" and "left" sides of things are from the point of view of a person sitting in the cab looking out the windshield.
Some of us will even use nautical terms (e.g. Fore/Aft, Starboard/Port) to describe things.
I've got the same holes in my firewall on the starboard side. I haven't gotten around to putting a heater in yet.
