I think that we're confused.
Are you or are you not talking about the holes in the firewall on the passenger side?
If you are indeed talking about these holes, then you are looking at where the heater mounts.
If they are on the driver's side, then they could be for just aboutanything from the choke/throttle knobs, to wiring for various things.
If you still don't have an answer after this post, could you post a picure so that we can see what it is that you're talking about?
