I just bought my truck, and the owner told me it had a NEW 3 speed transmission (4k miles old). I'm not so sure I believe him. . . reverse is left and up, and gets stuck almost every time i shift in. I have to find someone to depress the clutch so I can line up the shift linkage from under the truck. Also, the truck doesn't like shifting into second gear quickly, it prefers to be babied. While these aren't big problems, they both seem indicative of an older transmission, maybe rebuilt. It came stock with either the chevy 3speed or the warner 3speed. What does the braintrust think?
