I'm sure it's no different than with cars. Most people seem to feel that a 2 door hardtop or a convertible is more "desirable" than a sedan-whether 2 or 4 door. Of course, if you're preserving history, than hopefully you'll save some of each!
But I'm sure it's simply a matter of personal preference, and and what a person regards as "desirable".
