I'd think it was the same as with the TF small and big window trucks - many more of the 3 window [and small window TF] trucks were made because that was the standard model and folks back then didn't waste money on extra's for a work truck, but nowadays the 5 window and big windows are the 'desireable' models, so more of them are resurrected - BUT it also may be the case that improved visibility of the 5 window got more popular as the AD years progressed, so maybe by the 53-55 range, more of them were sold
the gallery here seems to be a bit heavier on the 3 window, tho I haven't looked at'em all - people make a bigger deal outta the 5 window because they were an option, so equated with 'deluxe'
