One of the problems with our 50-year-old treasures is that most also went through that stage where they were 15- to 35-year-old beaters where taking care of them was never a priority.

The repairs that most offend me are the ones where something is either cut off or now welded that should never have been. Stuff that can be fixed with a wrench doesn't bother me much.
