I drove mine to the gas station after adding a rebuilt carb, new wires and a cap. It ran so nicely I put on the new hubcaps to show it off.
Got to the gas station, put in the non-ethanol stuff to be good to my baby, and it never sparked since I turned the key off.
Driving it home on a tow rope wasn't my idea of fun.
My post is up on the electrical board, but since you started it, I thought I'd whine and gripe.
