Yup, check for power from switch to ign system. Check each component. Check to make sure you're getting power to ignition when key is in 'start' and 'run' positions. Force the coil to spark with a jumper wire from battery. Check ballast resistor and points with voltmeter/testlight. Check ign module if solid-state. Check grounds & primary circuit wiring. Check for fouled sparkplugs, make sure rotor is turning, check rotor position to TDC, etc.
