Good info, Cletis. Although specific to Texas it makes some good general points that apply anywhere.
1. Don't buy ANY vehicle that does not have a clear, clean title (unless you enjoy spending many hours dealing with pointy-headed bureaucrats).
2. If there is any question about the vehicle's title (e.g. number on title does not match any number on the vehicle), go talk to the above mentioned bureaucrats BEFORE plunking down your hard earned money for the truck.
