That number is probably the serial number assigned by the body builder. VINs did not exist in 1952. GMC used body numbers and engine numbers. Neither was stamped on the frame. Whether a vehicle was titled by engine number or body number depended on the state it was registered in. Looks like the Province of Sakatchewan used body numbers.
