216's didn't have oil filters stock, so this is normal. Make sure that you use SAE30 oil without detergent, though.

The detergent in most oils is there to make sure that the dirt and other crap makes it to the filter. Without the filter, it just keeps cycling around your engine, and that's not good. When you use straight oil, the dirt and crap stays in the oilpan and you can drain it out when you change the oil.

You could always put in an oil filter, though. You know, if you wanted to.
