I have seen plenty of stuff given away for free or for shipping cost when people posted want ads in the swap meet! I was offered a complete set of springs for free when I was looking for them.
Some people (myself included) think it is worth it to pay 75% for a used part they really need... especially if it will help another 'bolter finance their project!
If you don't like the price... don't buy!
