YIKES! Not only would you get slapped with a HUGE civil suit but you'd face criminal prosecution as well. Not to mention the fact that it would be easy to forget and fall for your own trap.
A guy rigged a tripwire shotgun inside his business which kept being broken into. The rip-off was killed and his family sued the crap out of the store owner. He also went to prison.
Seems to me that a "club" across the steering wheel would be good enough for an old truck. That, and a fuel and or ignition cut off should do it.
