Well as I said earlier.. my gut tells me the last bidder was a shill bidder.. either the same guy using a different account, or a friend or realitive.

eBay could give a rip less.. they'll probably tell you to use SafeHarbor to file a auction resolution thing.. basically just an automated system to mediate between the two.. useless.

eBay won't even suspend his account unless he has 3 or more complaints for this kind of behavior.

The short end of it is there is nothing you or eBay can do to force this joker to honor your high bid. I guess you could hire a lawyer and take him to court, but short of a court order and a sherrif standing next to you, there probably isn't much you can do to get that truck for that bid.

Now had the guy actually took your money, it would be a little different story.. but since no money has changed hands.. eBay will just give you the run around, and this guy will end up selling it to somebody else.


an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
