I just ran your Serial number thru the VIN Cruncher, 3KPJ and it came up with:
Year: 1952
Type: 3100 1/2 Ton
Wheel Bs: 116
Plant: St. Louis, MO
Month: October
Perhaps you didnt enter letters as CAPS.. for instance 3KPJ
not 3kpj.
The KBA number is probably your ENGINE SERIAL NUMBER, as the KBA prefix identifies a 216 Cubic inch engine from 1952. (according to the inliners.org website found
here .
Some areas used the Serial number as the VIN, other areas used the number stamped on the engine.. looks like wherever your vehicle was originally titled was one of the areas using the engine number.
My '46 title uses the engine number for a VIN, and my '50 uses the Serial number off the mfg. plate for a VIN.
The VIN Cruncher currently works with the number found on the Mfg. Plate only.. so entering your KBA prefixed number would result in erronious data, or no data at all.
