Ok, the following changes have been made to the VIN Cruncher, and the current update is now uploaded to the server:
LQ = 1929 1.5 Ton WB 131
LR = early 1930 1.5 ton WB 131
I'm planning on adding support thru 1959 soon, and once thats tested and checked for accuracy, then we can discuss what should get added next.
I've got enough to say grace over with the coding, so i'll probably not get too involved in trying to collect and determine the accuracy of additional data. If solid, complied data exsists for military trucks, canadian trucks, and engine casting numbers i'll add that functionality.

You say that, in regards to the two digit month numbering system, "'42 started with 01 and "43" started with 13 and "44" started with 25"
If thats the case, the serial number 21YS02 would be:
21 = Janesville, WI
YS = 1941 1.5 ton 160WB
02 = Febuary, 1942
So that means that perhaps in years between 1942 and 1944, that the 1941 "Series Code" was used for all trucks, and the year and date can only be determined via the two digit month/year code?
