You can also did what I did when I got an old 47 jeep that sat up many years. Pull out the plugs and squirt a bit of oil in the cylinders and then with the plugs out crank it over a bit so that the rings get a bit of oil. If you have a big ratchet you can do it by hand and make sure there are no rough spots on the bearings. And if so, just crank it by hand until you get the oil moved about. Then you should be ok. It worked fine with the jeep.
