For what it's worth, you can edit your post by clicking on the paper/pencil icon in the header. I do that when I need to because I hate looking illiterate.
Years ago I used to serve on the board in my little church in a small town, and they were terrible about spelling, grammer and punctuation. I tried to help with the proofreading and found that it just made them angry. It was almost like there was an "anti-intellectualism" or a feeling that I thought I was too smart for them. I finally learned to keep my mouth shut and let them publish whatever came out. The next year I got the bright idea of volunteering to be the board secretary. More work, less hassle. When I moved, I had the opportunity to change churches. I go to one now where people don't get mad about silly things like that.
