You need a better sales job?ok, try this: I'm the Nazi Moderator here,jumping on off topic and out of order posts.As we all know, it does create some friction with the guys here.I personally feel a forum for Ebay stuff even linked to personal Stovebolter sites is a worthwhile addition.This place is been made great by the assortment of eccentric personalities, some of whom are quite stubborn,lol.It would make my job a lot easier by having this Ebay truck related forum, put it here or not at all,easy..As for a Moderator,let the guys speak up if they want the job,they can suggest names to me,and the Stovebolt Staff can choose a person.
Secondly,while we're on this topic of forums, how about taking the Rust Forum,put that stuff in the Body Shop Forum and then relabel the Foum for off topic posts, ya know, small talk,a trip to Wallyworld, that sort of thing.Maybe even politics, geez those political discussion where a blast to read,I used to laugh out loud. And I know that you John like to voice opinions on hot topics in the news.There should be no complaints from the truck only crowd, as the off topic will be in a forum by itself, don't like it, don't go there.So then the General Forum will be off topic truck related items as you intended it to be, no small talk there.This will be a worthwhile additon for comic relief and make controlling the whole board far easier as the guys will have a place for nonesense.I have quickly learned the place runs better if the rules for posting are black and white,no gray area to argue about.I gave in a little on the truck only items in the General Forum,but the gray area lets some guys sneak in unwanted stuff, so where do I draw the line? Completely 100 percent truck only talk does get boring and as mentioned by some here, the small talk let's the guys blow off and get to know each other.
An off topic Moderator choice is only one,Tony M is the man for the job.I know you and Tony M butt heads at times, but I appreciate his sharp wit and he is a fair player when called upon as I have learned through correspondence with him.
