This is all interested stuff. BradB, I'm surprised to learn that the Jeep 258 had 7 main bearings, because I knew a kid in high school that drove an early wrangler with that motor, and the mains were so loud it sounded like a diesel. Unless it was the rod bearings. Either way, the low-end was pretty smacked up.
