I had my 53 up for sale last summer and I had 3 very interested parties who were willing to travel here to buy it. For some reason I could not bear to part with it and phoned each of the people telling them not to come up as it was no longer for sale. They were disappointed and in fact one was irate, threatening to slander my name
over all the chat lines as being a fraud. One of the others has since bought his own and we correspond regarding its rebuilding. The other is still in contact and awaiting my 'final' decision.
Having an old truck is a love/hate relationship sometimes and after the time you spend together, it is a hard decision to see it go.
