Denny Graham,
Please read for the 4th time ...... I clearly state to use the "Heatshield" material for sound deadening and heat proofing on the vehicles. This product has been around for over 25 years. This is the Brand name of the product. By no means is the "Heatshield" product even close the "Peel and burn your vehicle" product. The great idea is that I am recommending using the "Correct" materials for a quality job. Until someone or someones vehicle goes up in flames because of products used improperly in these applications, I would steer clear of the peel n seal for these applications. When doing this step of your projects or restorations do this with the right materials. All of your OEM and quality interior upholstery materials sold have a fire retardant in the material meeting the MVSS 302 standards, in case of a cigarette, sparks, etc. should come in contact with the material. Anyone can go to the Link section of the stovebolt and click on A Glass Enterprise and contact me personally at my shop
8-5 pacific time. Glad to help out. I will work at getting a tech tip set up with pictures, specs, and information on installations, this needs to be done!
