Ahhh, Heatshield is the brand name, I didn't get that form your reply, I thought you were using "heatshield" as a generic term.

I'd like very much to see a tech tip set up for this subject.
I've got some of the P&S type material and just don't like the idea of using it for much the same reasons that you mentioned. I also have a very sticky 6” wide rubber product that is used to seal the joints in large concrete drainpipe. Not sure if I would want to use it either but it's better than the tar based P&S products that some of the guys say they are using.
