Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 | I have to change out the felt pads on the finishing heads on our wide belt sanders the felt is glued on with contact cement ...well my Maint. crew does the work I just supervise ...and we have tried acetone & laquer thinner ....and found Regular Ol paint thiner / Mineral Spirits works the best by far , as Dave stated. soak it let it set a while an it will soften the contact cement for easy removal .Hope this helps | | |
