On the 1/2 tons the column has a smaller diameter place where the bushing fits tight in to. The small tab you see is what keeps it from going all the way through. If you don't mind me asking, which vender did you get that from? They all quit selling them for awhile and I had to make mine from hardwood. I soaked it in oil for a week and its still working OK, just a little loose. Joe | | |
