I just finished my truck this weekend. I put down the heat shield, it is actually the double foil backed insulation that goes around a water heater. Then I put the jute padding down. WOW what a difference it made, it was unbelievable. Took me about 3 hours. I put a few strips of jute padding glued in the inside of the doors and quieted them up quite a bit.
Well worth the time and effort. Still need to do the roof though.
