| | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 | After painting the entire floor with POR-15 we used some rubber roof patch material from Home Depot as a vibration barrier. I cannot recall the name of it but it comes in a 6" x 12' roll for under $15. Not as fancy or quite as thick as the big league stereo stuff but works very well. Next we sprayed StickyStuff and used the double sided foil backed The Insulator. About $20 for a 4'x6' roll. Finally we put in a new rubber carpet and this thing is tight, dry and quite. Whole job was under $140 and we had enough to put it under the seat and behind the gas tank. Personally I don't think anybody has a better interior than we have but almost everyone has spent a lot more. I credit my wife with a lot of the cut and fit labor and why it looks so good. We also used the Insulator under the original style headliner so this thing is warm too.
