My brother converted his 1969 GTO to fuel injection, and ditched the awesome quadrajet carburetor against my protestations.

Well a year or so in to the conversion he's recently had some driveability issues especially on startup.

He asked me for suggestions on troubleshooting and I actually had none..

As it turned out, it was a bad throttle position sensor causing rough idle and stalling at low RPM.

In my opinion, one of the best things about driving antique vehicles is that they don't have any sensors or computers telling the engine what to do.
