This is what works for me to store GMC engines and roll around as needed. 2- 2x12x27” for lengthwise 2- 2x6x22” for cross ways or the stability legs. Space the 27” about 9” apart screw the 2x6s using 3” deckmate or equivalent screws (not drywall screws) 2 or 3 per corner. Sit the new box in the floor or sit it in a moving dolly. Load the engine in it. I use a ratchet strap if I’m rolling it around but they stay in there pretty good. I’ll try to post measurements and photos. Total cost $20-30. Jim D
