well I thought of that and I am an Ex-Tool & Die Maker with a small shop... Lathe, Milling Machine 4 welders etc etc. however I wanted to keep things uniform. I don't like working on things that are mismatched and put together with nuts and bolts all different sizes. I did think about welding it and re-machining it and threading it again. But I need to do some research and see what material it is and what treatments it has gone through. I will put an add in our forum asking for one and will also be contacting the shop mentioned above.
