The spindle offered by Chev's of the 40's are not original replacement items so won't fix your bunged up spindle. A quick search of a 1929-54 Chevy Master Parts Book shows the '41-'42 Commercial and '46-'50 1/2 ton models all used the same GM# 607306 Steering knuckle spindle for both sides of the trucks. All identified with Casting# 3664551 on the spindle.
Your best bet is to locate a used serviceable spindle from one of these mentioned models/years to serve as your replacement. If you can't find anything local, feel free to post an ad in our Swap Meet
