Found a new 6 qt. crock pot on sale at Wally World for $17.95 Friday. Much cheaper than what it would cost me if I used any of SWMBO's pots and/or stove. This week is going to be real busy, so the rebuild won't start before 3/22/26 at the earliest.
Also bought a cheap set of "needle" attachments for my air gun.
The most complete set of overhaul instructions I've found is titled SERVICE PROCEDURE YF DOWNDRAFT CARBURETOR copyrighted 1949 by the Carter Carburetor Corporation. I've attached it below. If anyone out there has better ideas, comments, additions, etc. please let me know.
I also have another Carter document titled Form 4958D, Chevrolet Carbureter (the misspelling is theirs) Manual Choke 1937-1952, YF DOWN-DRAFT CARBURETER No. 964S which is a complete parts list along with adjustment procedures for the carb. I can't attach it because it is larger (8.8 MBytes) than allowed on our forum.
'57 GMC 102, Original 347 V8, HydraMatic, 3.08 rear gear, added A/C, disk front brakes, HEI, AFB carb, '98 Honda Black Currant paint. T-boned and totaled 10/12 '52 GMC 152 Stake Bed, Original 228, SM420, added A/C, HEI, disk front brakes, '67 Chev 3.55 rear gear. Gets used as a real truck.
