I never installed the complete windlace but I had removed it from the dash to the floor when I redid the cowl kick panel .I reused the track for the windlace and I made out of a piece of scrap metal a piece that would fit in the track with a folded 90 degree tab that you can use to slide it along the track to clean out and open it up . the tab could be tapped with a hammer when the track was tight .
