I found it somewhat curious that Williams didn't make your list .... ?? You ought to start a thread on measuring tools. I'd be quite interested in that discussion.
Before this subject fades, some of you (I think) are familiar with
Alloy Artifacts. For those who aren't, its " an online tool museum and resource center for information on 20th century hand tools." I've found it a fun and useful resource for identifying auction wins and pawn shop finds.
