Nick, I used Raptor bedliner and sprayed it in (they also talk about rolling it on).
I don't think that it did anything for sound deadening but the truck was never driven by me prior to have a baseline. After input from this forum I am planning to add peal and seal material for sound deadening sometime this winter (hopefully).
