If the pump is no good, there are a few competent rebuilders out there that can repair yours. There are also kits to do it yourself, if desired. Also, brand new pumps are available for about $50, I think. I would buy a new one as last resort, however, as the quality of virtually all new parts these days is highly unreliable.
