I think that what I have in mind is similar to what Joe H recommends above. Bill Hanlon sent me his wiring diagram, and I used some of his ideas. Here is my sketch of what I have in mind and a photo of a 50 amp circuit breaker. I have not yet chosen a relay. I will power the circuit breaker then the 50 amp relay from the battery connection to the starter motor.

Am I wrong somewhere with my idea?
