I’ll bet it does get hairy. I got caught out in the rain with my ‘51 3100 modified for the first time recently ; the V8 automatic w/ positraction and wide rear tires made for very skittish turns.
But then , we seasoned veteran car guys all learned to drive manual transmission and rear wheel drive , making us much better drivers than today’s youth , plain and simple.
