Using ANY come-a-long is like using a darn self-torture device! I swore long ago that if I ever built a car hauler, it would be equipped with an electric winch. I did, and it is! I've manually "come-a-longed" too many inop POS cars and trucks over the years and been "bit" by a recalcitrant POS winching tool. Ususally it's the cheap cable fraying and biting a finger, or the little trigger that allows the release of the cable that will tear a guy up. Never again! I will never use another come-a-long, ever!
