Agreed. I've been injured several times. Finger in tablesaw, hammer chip in hand, debris in eyes, broken toes dropping tools, fallen off ladders, hands laid open with metal. Even had a finger smashed in the door latch of a 55 Chevy when I was a kid. But's it's always been something that I did wrong, violating one of the basic safety rules.
My most infamous saying happened after running my left index finger into a tablesaw blade. "But I had on my safety glasses, and they didn't help."
